New Friends of Nazareth House Apostolate

photographs are exclusive property of NHA and its photographers, all rights reserved.

The children at Kroo Bay, despite their insufficient surroundings are very playful, inquisitive and happy. It is a pleasure to be around them, no complaining, they go about their day looking for something to make them laugh. And…they find it! …no matter how small or insignificant it might seem to those of us in 1st World Countries, to them it is worth a huge full-teeth-showing grin! We presented the supplies and made introductions with our new friends. We look forward to our relationship in Kroo Bay.

Roo’s birthday celebration on the beach

Roo’s birthday was celebrated on the beach in between rainfall storms. James informed me that our favorite beach restaurant (in photos above)is still in operation. Hopefully plans to remove the beach bar/restaurants located along the coastline were only rumors and this will not take place. We will be so thankful to know that Ramada’s will be there for us to visit on our next trip to Sierra Leone.

We also have received word that all uniform material is in hands of Kabala seamstresses and nearing completion so that all students and teachers will now have their uniforms.

We also received word that more and more parents are wishing to enroll in the school. If this keeps up will have to expand …. I think we’ll limit the amount of students in the classrooms for now.

We have to focus on permanent residency in Freetown, so that we may be strategically located and able to do our work. Next project: The compound.
