He made his clothing and Shoes from worn-out rags. Very talented and very resourceful.
From time to time, James has met up with him. But it is not easy to find him, hidden deep in the forest.
During this visit, James presented Abu with a rosary from Liz Holt & Kathy Nagy of Louisville. 
Roo’s recent awareness of the struggles of others in the world has signaled his increased participation in NHA works. Roo having the same heart and compassion so prevalent in his family, wishes to more and more a part of the giving, the loving. 
Abu expresses a “thumbs up” approval for the supplies and the rosary from NHA. 
Amazed that NHA did NOT forget him, that we continue to build a relationship with those we meet in Sierra Leone… Abu bids us goodbye and looks forward to our next meeting. Another smile, another warming of the heart. God bless you all and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Several years ago, James met the Woodchopper Abu in the woods of Kabala. We promised him a rosary, etc. Because he lives in the woods it was difficult to find him again. But this last trip last weekend, James met back up with him – gave him his rosary and other necessities… See the next blog post
